National Waffle Day with Presto®

It’s National Waffle Day!!

My family L O V E S waffles. It’s the ultimate breakfast in the Watts house!

On special days (or any ole Tuesday), we like to make breakfast fun with something special. Our go-to? These Berry Stuffed Waffles with Berry Syrup! 🙌🏽🔥

I’m sure you’re thinking, “Mel! How are you getting those waffles stuffed with that berry goodness?” Well let me tell ya! I’m using my Presto® Stuffler™ Stuffed Waffle Maker!

This waffle maker is so fun and makes waffling so versatile! You can do sweet waffles like these or something a little more savory with different batter & fillings!

Lyric and Honour Smile are my helpers in the kitchen and making these waffles was the most fun that we’ve had cooking together!

So i’m sure you want to know - what’s the recipe? I’ve got you!!

BERRY GOOD BELGIAN WAFFLES

  • Waffle Batter of your Choice (classic, whole grain, protein or cake batter if you want to be crazy!)* Filling per waffle

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen, drained, mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)

Prepare waffle batter as directed. Preheat Stuffler™ stuffed waffle maker with waffle tongs in unit for 10 minutes.

Spread about 1/3 cup batter into waffle maker so bottom grids and waffle divider are thinly but completely covered. Sprinkle mixed berries onto batter leaving a thin margin around edge. Spread additional batter over fruit until it reaches the top of the square projections on the waffle tongs. Close waffle maker and flip. Cook for 6 1/2 minutes.

Remove stuffed waffle to plate. Top with syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream!

*Or, substitute with prepared waffle or pancake baking mixes. Prepare as directed on package. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Yield may vary depending on mix used.

What are some combinations that you would want to try in the Presto® Stuffler™ Stuffed Waffle Maker? How do you like your waffles??
